While the world of Sea of Thieves has always been a living, changing experience – this is the first time we’ve seen such a meaningful and significant change to the existing landscape.
Fan-favourite outpost Golden Sands, was recently the centre of a huge battle, with the outcome decided by the player community as they aligned with opposing factions. The result of that conflict was that Golden Post was “saved”, and now we see for the first time an outpost has become a town.
This short was filmed entirely in-game, with real players and no cinematic tools – incredible stuff from TruEdits, and a testament to the variety of role playing tools Rare have put into players’ hands.
